Opal Playing Games With Me

On Monday night, I was listening to Opal Bonfante's "London Calling" show, on the Big L 1395AM, London (Sky Channel 0190 or on the net at: http://www.bigl.co.uk/ ). Since Darth Chris, Opal's new boss at the Big L, stopped her taking calls on air, except for contest participants, I have been calling the lovely DJ and just chit chatting, off air. I guess this shows that I am not only interested in her to get air time. I know I shouldn't listen to the show, until Darth Chris relents and lets her get back to her old format, but it's hard to stay away.
Anyway, I call Opal and she starts singing to me, over the phone. I asked her, "how did you know I have always wanted a woman to sing to me?" She informed me that she didn't know. After singing to me for awhile, she takes me on air to give my answer to her "I'm a Celebrity, get me out of my coma" game. Of course, my answer is wrong, but it's the first time we got to talk with each other, on air, since the Darth Chris ban. After she does a few links, I call her again and we continue chatting. We end up discussing names she wants to give children, if she has any. I was shocked to find out that Opal doesn't intend to take her husband's surname, when and if she ever gets married. That is surpassed by her telling me she wants to get married several times. Why am I worried about this? It's not like she's offering, although at one point in the conversation, she jokingly asked if I was offering to make a baby.
Opal is probably my most loyal blog reader. She subscribes, through Myspace, and will often send me a message asking, "where's your next blog?" She asked me over the phone, that night, and I told her I was working on one as we spoke. After I published it, we talked again. She complained that it was only three paragraphs. She wanted more. Last week, I published two particularly long blogs. I told her that I had two complaints about the length of the two long ones. I usually try to keep my blog relatively short, as I suspect that most readers don't want anything very long. Opal is bucking the trend and asking for long ones. She demanded that I immediately write another one, so she could read it. I told her, "this ain't a radio show...I don't take requests. Besides, I am very tired and need sleep. I have to get up early for work, in the morning." Opal didn't care, she wanted me to stay up and write. I went to sleep.
Last night, I was all prepared for her to complain even more, as I only wrote a brief blog about the postponement of the Wibbley Wobbley gig. I was expecting the lovely Bonfante to give me an ear full. When I tuned in the Big L, I was surprised to find a man covering her show. Off went the radio. What's happened to Opal? I hope she's okay. Her being missing in action took a little of the pressure off me to write a second blog, last night. Opal has been forward enough to suggest things she would like me to write about in my blog. She wants to hear more about my housemates and has asked about the back story of the great women I have had my heart broken by. I wonder what the rest of you would like? Only a fraction of you bother to leave comments. I always read all the comments and often respond to them. So let me hear from you and what you would be interested in reading about. Do you like the longer or the shorter blogs? Are you interested in the back story of the likes of the Black Queen, Paula, the Great Michelle, Lucas, Kelley Bohland, Pam 1, and others? I do intend to relate more of the antics of current housemates, S1 and M1, plus the occasional mention of Nando, my Italian ex-housemate.
